Side One is a diamond corragation file or diamond serration file with concentric circles to instantly put serrations on scissors, whether they are beauty shears, barber scissors, pet grooming scissors or other serrated scissors such as the Bonika Dry Cut Shear. It also has an application in the medical tool sharpening business. This is a speedy, one step method giving professional, factory serrating results. It works excellently with our Scimech Flat hone and other similar flathone systems systems. Side Two is a flat diamond plate. This is useful in sharpening ceramic scissors or sharpening porcelein scissors. It is also used to sharpen ceramic clipper blades and ceramic trimmer blades. Specifications: 6" diameter .187" or 3/16" hole 4.5mm thickness Comes in medium and fine Will serrate about 500 scissors. Fits most flathone sharpeners with a 3/16" center pin. For those multiple head 5" wheel sharpeners, one wheel on your machine can be modified by raising it higher than the other wheels so that the 6" plate will fit on this one wheel.
